SHIRLEY FESSLER CROCKETT

Shirley Fessler Crockett, 85, of Dutton, Va., passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016.

She was born in Richmond, Va., and was the widow of Elmer Ferdinand Crockett, and the daughter of the late Harold and Shirley Wray Fessler.

She was a member of Locust Grove United Methodist Church and was very active in the horse community being regular at the horse shows with her daughters and grandchildren. She was employed at the former First National Bank of Yorktown as a teller and also worked at the Naval Weapons Station and retired from the York County School Board.

She is survived by her daughters, Janet Wilson, Jackie Hooks, and Joan Crockett; her brother, Bob L. Fessler, and her grandchildren, Mathew Wilson, Mark Wilson, and Ransom Hooks. 

The family received friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 21, 2016, from 4-5:30 p.m. A graveside service was held on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at 2 p.m. in Windsor Gardens Cemetery.
