A funeral service for Deaconess Shirley D. Walker was held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16 in Zion Poplars Baptist Church, Gloucester. She died July 10, 2018. 

She had resided in Gloucester since 1998.

Survivors include her husband, Arthur Walker; son, Perry A. Walker; daughter, Wilma Barner; sisters, Ruth and Bernice Barner; one grandson and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Arrangements were by Howard Funeral Home, Ark.
