Shirley Ann Hudgins of Gloucester, passed on to her reward on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.

Shirley was born on June 10, 1935 in Blakes, Va. She was a member of Petsworth Baptist Church, Moose Lodge #886, and a CNA for over 30 years passionately taking care of the elderly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Preston and Annie Marie Myers; her sons, Casey, Robert and David.

She is survived by her husband, Wilton Lee Hudgins; sons, Will, Dale and Keith (Alan); her daughters, Linda, Brenda Hudson (Kenny); grandchildren, David, Travis, Kyle, Ben, James, Preston, Russell, Michael, Jennifer Miner (Josh), Tina Turco (Shawn), Brandi Snow, Tiffany Tawney (Wayne), Chris Hudson, Kim Leonard (Jeff), Terry Bennett (Jennifer), Chris Bennett (Stephanie), and eight great-grandchildren and her beloved Max, Loki and Tom.

Shirley will be missed by countless others as she touched the lives of everyone she came in contact with; she was one of the few in life blessed to have a light that will continue to shine here for all of us.

A memorial service was held on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Va. Visitation followed the service. Burial will be private.
