Shelia Marie Sparks of Mechanicsville, was born May 26, 1960. She departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Scott Sparks. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda F. Kanary; father, Clifton Lee Sparks Jr.; son-in-law, Mark W. Kanary; granddaughter, Savannah A. Kanary; brothers, Clifton Sparks and Keith Sparks; sisters, Pamela Louise Prentiss, Sharon Carraux and Arlene Sparks, and at host of other relatives. 

The funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at the First United Baptist Church, Gloucester. Interment was in church cemetery.
