Ryker Sharp of Gloucester broke all of his previous records during the 2020 USAPL Winter Wrecker weightlifting competition held Nov. 14 in Ashburn. The 6’2”, 310 pound 16-year-old set new powerlifting records for the 220+ weight class with a dead lift of 501 pounds, a squat lift of 447 pounds and a bench lift of 314 pounds, all new state records. Sharp won gold for his age/weight class and qualified for the high school nationals to be held in Colorado in March.
