SHARYN GAY ROBINS

Sharyn Gay Robins, 49, of Gloucester, passed away May 13, 2017. The death of this beautiful young woman at the prime of her life was most untimely, but how joyful it is for her to now stand in the presence of God.

Sharyn was a Gloucester County native, graduated in 1985 from Gloucester High School; graduated from VCU with a business degree and minor in Spanish; and from the University of Richmond with a Nationally Certified Paralegal degree. She worked with the Richmond Social Services Department as a Business Analyst Advisor. Sharyn loved animals, especially dogs, Disney, the beach, and Christmas. She was always taking care of her family, tirelessly doing many things for them. She was a loving, dedicated, devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Sharyn was beautiful inside and out, who had so much to contribute to the world and wherever she went people loved her. She will be remembered always by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roland and Nellie Mae Anderton, and paternal grandparents, Frank and Mary Robins.

She is cherished and survived by her parents, Allen and Laurel Robins; brother, Allen William (Robi) Robins Jr.; nieces, McKenzie and Sarah Robins; uncles and aunts, Tommy and Cindi Anderton and Robert and Gloria Robins, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Mike Gray was held at noon Wednesday, May 17, 2017, at Hogg Funeral Home, Gloucester Point. Interment followed in Providence Cemetery, Miles, Va., with the Rev. J. Kim conducting. The family received friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
