Sharon Hogge Shackelford, age 75, died on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Sharon was born on March 26, 1950 to Cornelia Williams Hogge and James Graham Hogge. Sherry loved her home of Gloucester County; both the nature it consisted of and the people and communities that filled it. She worked as an instructional assistant for the Gloucester County Public School System. Sherry was always close to her home and yet incredibly social. She spoke to all with sincerity and is remembered for her kindness. Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Shackelford Jr., and by her son, Matthew Shackelford. She is survived by her daughter, Kristen Collier; daughter-in-law, Tiina Shackelford; by her grandchildren, Miranda, Alix, Ethan, and Aidan, and grandchildren-in-law, Jes and Brady. She is remembered by as many friends as she is family. The holidays before her passing were a revolving door of visits from those who cared deeply about her. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Hogg Funeral Home on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11 a.m., conducted by Pastor John Dooley, with the family receiving friends at 9:30 prior to the service.
