“The ladies here have made it as easy as possible on me and we’re learning every day,” said Shane Kinner, the newest owner of the Allstate office in Hayes.
Kinner took over ownership of the Allstate office back in August, an office originally opened in 1993 by Ken and Nan Evans. The Evans sold their business to Blake Stevens in August 2023.
Now, two years later, Kinner has taken the torch and plans to carry on the Evans couple’s legacy of honesty, integrity and trust with clients, he said. And on Kinner’s team is none other than Nan Evans herself.
Evans, who began working part-time under Stevens, is now helping Kinner pick up where Stevens left off. “She gets a lot of our office calls, so people are always glad to hear a friendly voice,” he said.
“I’m just here for whoever knows how long—as long as they need me,” Evans added.
Kinner, who has been in the insurance business for 15 years this month, was approached by Stevens nearly eight months ago about purchasing the agency. “We met with Ken and Nan and once I met with them, I knew it was a good place to be,” he said.
Also on Kinner’s team are Allstate agents Jordan Monfalcone and Rachel Hall. Monfalcone, a Gloucester native, has worked for the business since July of this year. Hall, who has been an agent for 12 years, joining the agency in August 2023.
