Shane Dee “Sugar Shane” Anderson, 49, of Gloucester, went to his eternal rest on Sunday, April 15, 2018, in Richmond, Va.

He was born in Newport News, Va., and was a graduate of Gloucester High School, and Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local #540 member. He attended New Life Ministry in Hayes and was a diehard Redskins fan and Parrothead.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Sandra Lynn Anderson; sister, Tina Joyce Anderson, and brother, Charles “Tinker” Anderson, and is survived by his wife, Marsha A. Anderson; daughter, Savannah Lynn Anderson; stepchildren, Emma Knestaut and Josh Knestaut; parents, Charles and Joyce Anderson; sister, Jenny Lee Dawson and her husband Lynn; his faithful companion, Sajo, and many nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 20, 2018, from 6:30-8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 3 p.m. at New Life Ministry, Hayes, by Pastor Wendell Gaffney.
