Fish watchers can watch the spring journey of shad on their way to spawning grounds in the James River.A fish cam is located a Bosher’s Dam, just west of Richmond. It transmits images from a fishway which was built at the dam in 1999. The fishway provides fish with access to 137 miles of the James River and 168 miles of its tributaries, said a release from the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.
