SGT. JASON SCOTT HUDGINS

Sgt. Jason Scott Hudgins of the E Co 5-159 Aviation Regiment, age 34, of Hartfield, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014.

Employed at Precision Fabrication of Gloucester and an active Reservist for the United States Army, he was active duty in the Army for four years of which 18 months was served in Iraq with the 404th Aviation Support Battalion. Jason was born and raised in Mathews County.

Survivors include his wife Krista, and son, Isaac; parents, John Wayne and Diana Hudgins; paternal grandmother, Ellen Hudgins; two brothers, Mark and Jonathan; maternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Talbert, and a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Visitation was held on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, from 2-4 p.m. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home in Mathews. A funeral service was held at Gwynn’s Island Church of the Nazarene on Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at 1 p.m., burial followed in St. Paul Annex and a reception was held at the church.
