Gloucester Parks, Recreation and Tourism is offering a number of Best Years Trips in the coming weeks to those ages 55 and over.

On Saturday, April 13, there will be a Best Years Trip to Smithfield for the 2nd Saturday Pickers Market. The group will leave Gloucester at 7:30 a.m. and return around 2:15 p.m. In between, those on the trip will spend the day on Smithfield’s Main Street looking through items for sale, enjoying lunch on their own. The fee is $30 and the deadline to register is Sunday.

A trip to Norfolk’s Scope Arena will be held on Sunday, April 21 to enjoy the Virginia International Tattoo. The trip leaves at noon and returns around 6:30. Lunch on your own. The fee is $75 and the deadline to register is April 14.

A second Best Years Trip is planned to Smithfield; this time on Sunday, May 4, to the Little Theater of Smithfield to see “The Sound of Music.” The trip departs at 12:30 p.m. and returns around 7. The fee is $45 and the deadline is April 14.
