The University of Virginia ranked second and the College of William and Mary fourth on Kiplinger’s Personal Finance 100 best values in public colleges. The ranking of four-year schools in the U.S. combined outstanding education and economic value, a release said, with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill topping the list.
Other Virginia public colleges making the list were James Madison University (#20), Virginia Tech (#28), University of Mary Washington (#53), George Mason University (#56), and Christopher Newport University (#87).
Among Kiplinger’s top private colleges and universities, the University of Richmond ranked 11th.
