Serving the first responders

Botetourt Lodge No. 7 AF&AM in Gloucester is stepping up to take an active role in supporting local first responders during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The lodge has joined Olivia’s in the Village to provide meals for members of Gloucester Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad who will be on duty each night during the upcoming week. Beginning this past Sunday and every evening through this Saturday, emergency personnel will pick up made-to-order takeout dinners prepared by Olivia’s at 6597 Main Street, next to the GVFRS Main Street Station in Gloucester Court House. On hand Sunday for the initial dinner delivery were, from left, Olivia’s owner Gary Ward; rescue squad members Katie Presnall, Kandice Wauhop and Rilee Dalton, and Doug Williams of Botetourt Lodge No. 7.
