Services announced by local churches

Special services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Abingdon Episcopal

Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will place a giant Advent wreath in its circle drive on Sunday and, in addition to its morning services, will hold prayer and reflection at the wreath at 4 p.m., followed by a simple meal. Congregants may build their own Advent wreaths to take home.

Apostles Lutheran

Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, is holding in-person worship, also on Zoom or YouTube, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. An invitation to the online service can be accessed at apostles-elca.org. The youth group for grades 6-12 will follow the service.

Children’s chapel will be held on noon on Zoom, and the book study of “The Handmaid’s Tale” continues at 7 p.m. next Thursday, Dec. 2, via Zoom.

Beech Grove Baptist
