Apostles Lutheran
Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold in-person worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Bellamy United Methodist
Bellamy United Methodist Church, Gloucester, will celebrate worship at 9 a.m. Sunday in the picnic pavilion or the fellowship hall depending on weather, and 10 a.m. in the sanctuary. All adults are asked to consider wearing a mask.

Bethany United Methodist
The sermon title of Pastor Paul Song of Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, at 10 a.m. Sunday will be “Live by Faith.” Join us for the in-person worship service or the drive-up service (park anywhere on the church grounds and tune car radio to 100.9 FM to hear the service live).
A Rise Against Hunger event will be held after the service to package over 10,000 meals. Lots of volunteers are needed to help.
Bethel Baptist
The sermon title of Rev. James L. Harris at noon Sunday in Bethel Baptist Church, Gloucester, will be “Comfort in Two Words.” It will also be Benevolence Sunday. The church will have the “Great Pumpkin Carving and Give-Away” at 2 p.m. Sunday. Pumpkins will be carved/painted and will be taken by a hayride to neighbors/friends. Supplies will be furnished.
Central United Methodist
The sermon title of the Rev. John Choi, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, Mathews, at 9:15 a.m. Sunday will be “From Hopelessness to Light.” The service will be broadcast live on the church’s YouTube channel, which can be accessed on the church’s website.

The sermon title of Lead Pastor Melvin Epps of Church of the Living Word, Hayes, at the 10 a.m. Sunday revival service will be “Helping Each Other.”

First Baptist, Mathews

Gloucester Point Baptist
The message of Pastor Bud Goude of Gloucester Point Baptist at the 11 a.m. Sunday service will be from Mark 10:17-22.
Those who are unvaccinated are encouraged to wear a mask; all others may use their discretion, a release said. The church service is also being broadcast from the parking lot on Sunday mornings on radio FM 90.5.
Grace Covenant Presbyterian
The sermon title of Pastor Doug Nagel of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Gloucester, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday will be “The Hall of Fame of Faith.”
Wednesday dinner will be held at 5:30, followed by Bible study of Hebrews, chapter 12, “Looking to Jesus,” also taught by Pastor Nagel.
Gwynn’s Island Baptist
Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church will hold a drive-in service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday around the gazebo across from the church. Parking will begin at 9 o’clock. The sermon topic of Dr. Ed Jordan, pastor, will be “Strength for the Journey.” Special music will include a song by Richard Callis.
Kingston Episcopal Parish
Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will worship at 8 a.m. Sunday at Christ Church and 10:30 a.m. at Kingston Chapel at the parish house. The later service is livestreamed on YouTube and Facebook.
A Celtic service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at Kingston Chapel. Strings & Things Quartet will play traditional Celtic music throughout the service. All present will have the opportunity to light candles as a symbolic reminder of their prayers. Masks are required.
The topic for the Monday Zoom and Tuesday in-person class will be “The Triduum (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday): Facing Death.” Masking has been mandated by the bishop of The Diocese of Virginia. LightHouse
LightHouse Church, Ordinary, will have worship services at 8 a.m. and 10 Sunday.
On Monday, the Overcomers will meet at 7 p.m. in the Verge building. In this group, one will learn the keys to becoming the victorious person God created you to be, a release said. The weekly Men’s Bible study, “Ephesians,” will meet at 7:15 in the main sanctuary.
Verge Youth Ministry is held every Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. for sixth-12th graders.
Mathews Baptist
