Abingdon Episcopal
Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold Sunday services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday school will continue the Lenten series “Prepare Today so You can Rest Tomorrow” at 9:30. G.P. Wakefield Buxton, JD, LLM, MBA, will be the speaker. He specializes in elder law, asset protection and advanced wealth transfer, as well as charitable giving and business succession planning.
“Meeting Jesus at the Table” will be held at 5:30 Wednesday evening. It will be a shared soup meal followed by a half-hour of conversation for the family.
Antioch Baptist
Charles Forrest will speak at 11 a.m. Sunday in Antioch Baptist Church, Susan. The service will also be on Facebook Live at weareantioch1869.

Apostles Lutheran
Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold the fourth Sunday in Lent worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. There will be a coffee fellowship after the service. The medical mission team going to Guatemala will leave on Sunday for a week.

Bellamy United Methodist
Bellamy United Methodist Church, Gloucester, will observe the fourth Sunday in Lent at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. The Lenten Bible Study will meet at 9:15 and adult Sunday school class meets at 9:30. Children’s Church for ages pre-K to fifth grade will meet at 10:30. The Youth Group will meet at 5 p.m. with dinner provided.
Loaves and Britches Food and Diaper ministry will be held from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday.
Bethany United Methodist
The sermon title of Pastor Paul Song of Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, at 8:30 (informal worship) and 11 a.m. (traditional) Sunday will be “Suffering in Perspective.” Sunday school for all ages begins at 9:45. Nursery for infants to 3-year-olds is available beginning at 9:40.
Sunday will be “Rise Against Hunger” meal-packing event following worship. All are welcome, a release said.
Bethel Church of Mathews
Bethel Church of Mathews, Onemo, will hold a musical service with members and local talent at 11 a.m. Sunday. Sunday school will precede the service at 10.
Non-perishable items and canned goods are being collected for Hands Across Mathews.
Beulah Church of New Point
The sermon title of Pastor Dede Parrish of Beulah Church of New Point at 11 a.m. Sunday will be “A Family Affair.” This will be a joint service with Saint Paul Comfort and New Point Friends churches.
Bible study will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The sermon title of the Rev. Rebecca Rumburg, pastor of Central United Methodist Church, Mathews, at 9:15 a.m. Sunday will be “The Prodigal Son, Love for the Lost and Found.” It will be UMCOR Sunday. Sunday school will follow at 10:15.

Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist
The Gloucester Union Relief Association of Missionary Baptist will hold its regular session on Saturday and Sunday in Zion Poplars Baptist Church, Gloucester. The Executive Board will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday. Each church is asked to send two delegates. The Institute Session will begin at 11 o’clock. Church school will begin at 9:45 a.m. Sunday followed by Youth Period. Brenda Davis of Rising Valley Baptist Church, James Store, is the Youth Advisor. The Rev. Eugene Comithier, pastor of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Gloucester, will preach at the 11 o’clock service. The Senior Choir of Zion Poplars will sing.
Grace Covenant Presbyterian
The sermon title of Pastor Jesse Hill of Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church, Gloucester, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday will be “The Withered Fig Tree.” There will be a fellowship luncheon following the service.
Kingston Episcopal
Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will observe 4th Lent Sunday with Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8 a.m. at Christ Church on Williams Wharf Road and Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:30 a.m. at Kingston Chapel on Main Street.
Lenten Soup with Love lunches will continue Wednesday at noon. The Rev. Kristie Askew of Grace-Providence, Emmanuel and St. Matthew United Methodist churches will offer the meditation.
