Apostles Lutheran

Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold the fifth Sunday of Easter worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. A special offering for World Hunger will be received during the service. Sunday school for all ages and a coffee fellowship will follow the service.

Bellamy United Methodist

Bellamy United Methodist Church, Gloucester, will gather for worship at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. The Well Worship Band and the Youth Band will lead the music. The Faith Builders Bible Study will meet at 9:15 and adult Sunday school class meets at 9:30. The Youth Group will meet at 5 p.m., with dinner provided.

First Baptist, Mathews

First Baptist Church, Mathews, will celebrate its 160th anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday. Bishop Joshua N. King Sr., pastor of Zion Baptist Church, Hampton, will be the guest speaker. He will be accompanied by his choir, musicians, officers, ushers and church family.

First Baptist, Ordinary

Gwynn’s Island Baptist

Gwynn’s Island Baptist Church has restarted its outdoor drive-in worship on the grounds of the Gwynn’s Island Civic League property, across from the church, at 10 a.m. Sunday; parking begins at 9 o’clock. The sermon title of Pastor Ed Jordan will be “Giant-killers or Grasshoppers?” Special music will be by Hunter Owens. If the ground is too wet, the service will be moved inside the church sanctuary.

Kingston Episcopal Parish, Mathews, will observe the fifth Sunday after Easter with Holy Eucharist Rite I at 8 a.m. at Christ Church on Williams Wharf Road, and Holy Eucharist Rite II at 10:30 a.m. at Kingston Chapel on Main Street. A Celtic service will be held at 5:30 p.m. in Kingston Chapel.
