Abingdon Episcopal Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will have an outdoor “Mass on the Grass” worship service at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Youth from the church will speak on their understanding of courage; patriotic songs will be part of the worship. A picnic lunch follows and everyone is encouraged to bring lawn chairs, a release said. Apostles Lutheran Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold the sixth Sunday after Pentecost (the yoke of discipleship) worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. This will be a special service observing the semiquincentennial of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The worship service will both celebrate and lament our nation’s history, affirm the reality of the current moment, and seek to unite the diverse body of Christ for the life of the world, a release said.
