Services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Abingdon Episcopal

Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday worship services in-person and livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube. Children’s Chapel also begins at 10:30. Episco 101 (a series for those new to the Anglican/Episcopal tradition) continues at 9:30.

The church is open for silent prayer Wednesday noon-1p.m.

Angel Visit Baptist

Angel Visit Baptist Church of Dunnsville, will hold the 35th annual Essex County Community Celebration of the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at 7 p.m. Monday.

The Rev. Keith L. Parham, former pastor of the First Baptist Church of Hockley, Shacklefords, will be the preacher for the service and the Southside Rappahannock Baptist Association Choir under the direction of Marcellus Dungee will sing.
