Services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Angel Visit Baptist

Angel Visit Baptist Church, Dunnsville, will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its pastor, the Rev. Dr. Carla E. Lightfoot, on Saturday and Sunday. An anniversary banquet will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday at Segar’s Legacy Event Center, Tappahannock. The Rev. Herbert L. Ponder, pastor of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Richmond, and President of the Baptist General Association of Virginia, will be the speaker. Banquet tickets are $30 for adults, $15 for children age 4 to 12, and free for children age 3 and younger.

The anniversary celebration will continue on Sunday, with morning worship at 9:30. The Rev. Keith L. Parham, pastor of First Baptist Church of Hockley, Shacklefords, will preach. A repast will follow the morning worship.
