Services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Antioch Baptist

Antioch Baptist Church, Susan, will hold a Soul Food dinner at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Gloucester-Mathews Male Chorus will sing and there will be door prizes.

Apostles Lutheran

Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold the first Sunday in Lent worship service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Jay Serafin will lead the service; a coffee fellowship will follow the service. Links to the service via Zoom or YouTube are on the church’s website at apostles-elca.org. The bulletin will be sent to the congregation via email.

A mid-week Lenten service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1. A soup and bread meal will be held before the service at 6 o’clock.

Bethany United Methodist

Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, will celebrate the first Sunday in Lent at at 8:30 and 11 a.m. The sermon title of Pastor Paul Song will be “Tempted Inside Out.”
