Services and other activities in churches this week include the following:

Abingdon Episcopal

Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, will hold Holy Eucharist services at 8 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Intergenerational Sunday school will be at 9:15 and focuses on Advent themes rejoicing and giving. Nursery will be provided .

The Arts at Abingdon presents The Tallis Scholars at 4 p.m. Sunday. Seating is by advance reservation only.

Antioch Baptist

Antioch Baptist Church, Susan, will recognize its deacons at the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Julia Forrest of Antioch will speak.

Apostles Lutheran

Apostles Lutheran Church, Gloucester, will hold the second Sunday in Advent service at 10 a.m. Sunday. Pastor Jay Serafin will lead the service. The bulletin will be sent to the congregation via e-mail. A First Sunday potluck will be held after the service along with a special presentation on ELCA Good Gifts.
