Abingdon Episcopal
Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, is offering Enneagram class at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays. The class will be offered in a hybrid format. The in-person portion will take place in the Great Hall and participants can join via Zoom as well.
Apostles Luthern
Apostles Luthern Church, Gloucester, will hold a “Service of the Word” at 10 a.m. Sunday. The service will be led by Dr. Peter Liljeberg. Links to the service via Zoom or YouTube are on the church’s website at apostles-elca.org. The bulletin will be sent to the congregation via e-mail. After the service, everyone is invited to come to the fellowship hall for coffee and conversation.
Beech Grove Baptist
Beech Grove Baptist Church, Hayes will have revival services beginning at 10:30 a.m. Sunday and continuing each night at 7 o’clock through Wednesday. The evangelist will be the Rev. Tucker LaForce who has preached extensively throughout the area and surrounding communities and different states. There will be special musical presentations during each service.
Bellamy United Methodist
Bellamy United Methodist Church, Gloucester, will continue the “Enough: Discovering Joy through Simplicity and Generosity” sermon series at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary. Bible study will be held at 9:15. The Youth Group will meet at 11:30 and lunch will be provided. This will be the last Sunday that the United Women in Faith will take orders for the fresh Balsam Fir wreaths. Wreaths are $35 each and all proceeds go to missions.
The Gloucester Women’s Bible Study will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Bethany United Methodist
The sermon title of Pastor Paul Song of Bethany United Methodist Church, Gloucester Point, at 8:30 and 11 a.m. Sunday will be “The Power of Gospel.”

Bethel Baptist
The sermon title of the Rev. Dr. Katrina W. Brown of Bethel Baptist Church, Gloucester, at noon Sunday will be “Where do We go from Here?” The church has returned to in-person service. Bethel United Methodist
The sermon title of Pastor Kristie Askew of Bethel United Methodist Church, Onemo, at 10:50 a.m. Sunday will be “The World is Our Parish.” A “State of the Church Information Session” will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday. All church members are invited for the conversation surrounding the state of the UMC and the future of the church, a release said. The district superintendent will be available to answer questions.
A Halloween potluck supper and magic show will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Master magician Joe Pescador will be the special guest. Wear a costume and bring a covered dish to share and enjoy a special treat, a release said.
Central United Methodist
The Rev. Coleman Tyler will be guest preacher at the 9:15 a.m. Sunday service in Central United Methodist Church, Mathews. The service will be followed by Sunday schools and a luncheon hosted by the United Methodist Women.
Church of the Living Word
The sermon title of Lead Pastor Melvin Epps, of Church of the Living Word, Hayes, at 10 a.m. Sunday will be “Jesus Saves.”
“H.O.P.E.” will be the Wednesday Bible study topic at 6:30 p.m. (in-person).
First Baptist
First Baptist Church, Ordinary will celebrate “Woman’s Day” at the 11 a.m. Sunday service. Minister Nell Bagby-Robinson will be the guest speaker and her sermon title will be “Birthing Your Purpose.” Sunday’s theme will be “Women Recognizing, Acknowledging and Accepting our Purpose.” Church school starts at 9:30. Both activities can be in-person, Zoom, and/or Facebook. Masks are still required.

First Morning Star Baptist
Pastor Larry J. Arrington of First Morning Star Baptist Church, Bena, will speak on the sixth in the series, “History of His Church,” at 11 a.m. Sunday. Grace Covenant Presbyterian
The sermon title of Tom Meier of Grace Covenant Presbyterian, Gloucester, at 10:30 a.m. Sunday will be “Weight of Prayer.” The service will be online and in-person.
A free Movie Under the Stars showing of “The Lion King” will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. Everyone is welcome to come with their lawn chairs and blankets, a release said.
The church will celebrate its fifth “Hot Dog Giveaway” during the Gloucester Main Street Trick or Treat Event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. “Families come to the event each year right from work and school activities,” said Doug Nagel, pastor of Grace on Main, “leaving little time to grab something to eat before the festivities begin. We thought this was one way that we could serve our community and demonstrate a bit of grace on Main Street.”
Groves Presbyterian
