Series of history talks to be held at Edge Hill House

The Gloucester Woman’s Club will host a series of talks on local historical legacies from 7-8 p.m. each Wednesday throughout July at the Edge Hill House, 6905 Main Street, Gloucester.

The series begins on July 6 with Bill Lawrence speaking on “Adventures of a Local Historian.” On July 13, Beth Richardson will discuss “The Pocahontas Story.” The following Wednesday, July 20, Sara Lewis will look at “The Life and Work of Walter Reed.” The series ends on July 27 with “T.C. Walker’s Tenacious Life,” with the speaker to be announced.

The brief presentations will be followed by discussion, a question-and-answer period and dessert. They are open to the public, free of charge.
