Seraph Brass Quintet to perform at Abingdon

The Seraph Brass Quintet will perform at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Abingdon Episcopal Church, Route 17 in White Marsh, in the third concert this season in the Arts at Abingdon Series.

Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be accepted.

Seraph Brass is a dynamic brass ensemble drawing from a roster of America’s top female brass players, said a press release. Performing primarily as a brass quintet or sextet, the group presents a diverse repertoire that includes original transcriptions, newly commissioned works, and well-known classics. It released its debut studio album, “Asteria,” on Summit Records last year, winning a Silver Medal Global Music Award.

Many members of Seraph Brass performed with Adele on her North American tour, and the group has toured throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe. It is on the roster of Dow Artists and the Manhattan Music Ensemble.
