Colin Drozdowski has been named President of Sentara Health Plans and Executive Vice President of Sentara Healthcare, effective Sept. 1.Drozdowski is Senior VP of Comprehensive Health Solutions at SHP. He succeeds Dennis Matheis, current President and CEO of SHP, who transitions to President and CEO of Sentara Healthcare on Sept. 1.
Headquartered in Virginia Beach, Sentara Health Plans is the health insurance division of Sentara Healthcare, offering health plans through its subsidiaries, Optima Health and Virginia Premier. Sentara Health Plans serves more than 950,000 members and partner with 25,000+ physicians and more than 100 hospitals.
Prior to joining Sentara, Drozdowski spent 26 years with the Blue Cross and Blue Shield system, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Provider Solutions for Anthem, Inc.
