Second suspect arrested in human trafficking case

After a coordinated investigation by the Gloucester and Mathews Sheriff’s offices, a second suspect in human trafficking and child pornography involving William Hooper of Mathews was arrested last week.

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office arrested Jennifer Mae Hutchens, 52, of the 4800 block of Clopton Drive in Hayes on Nov. 27. Hutchens was charged by the GSO with two felony counts of producing child pornography and one felony count of human trafficking.

In addition, Hutchens faces felony charges in Mathews of human trafficking, receiving money for procuring person, receiving money from earnings and aiding prostitution under age 18, according to MSO Major J.T. Williams. She was also charged with the misdemeanors of indecent liberties with children and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
