SCOTT EDWARD WOLFORD SR.

Scott Edward Wolford Sr., 81, of Gloucester, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, March 29, 2016.

He was reunited with his loved ones that preceded him in death, parents, Carrie and Troy Wolford; daughter, Sharon Petry; brother, James; sisters, Helen and Mary, and son-in-law Tom Huddleston.

He was born at Rawls, W.Va., and was the son of the late Troy and Carrie Wolford. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War and was retired from the Atlantic Group. He had also worked at West Point Chips.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Claudette B. Wolford; children, Joan Keeton (Ed), Rhonda Huddleston, Kathy White (Eugene), Vicky Wolford, Sherry Wilson (Craig), Tammy Wolford, Scott Wolford Jr. and Angie Lykin; son-in-law, Rick Petry; sisters, Lois Browning, Peggy Coley (Tom), Opal Denning (Otis), Sally Fulton; brother-in-law, U.B. Morgan; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.

The family received friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 1, 2016, from 1-2 p.m. with funeral services starting at 2 o’clock. Entombment was in Windsor Gardens Cemetery & Mausoleum.

Andrews Funeral Home & Crematory, Gloucester, was in charge of arrangements.
