120 YEARS AGOThursday, May 17, 1906from the Mathews Journal Notes from Mathews High School: Mrs. Marchant closed her school Friday, May 11, after 8 months of faithful and successful labor. Mrs. Marchant has filled her every school day with earnest enthusiastic work and results are apparent in the creditable examinations which pupils have passed. Miss James will draw her labors to a close Friday, May 18.
