120 YEARS AGOThursday, Feb. 15, 1906from the Mathews Journal A historical celebration will be given in the Red Men’s Hall, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m., by the Westville Public School, assisted by the High School and music pupils. The programme consists of patriotic songs, fancy drills and marches, calisthenics, speeches, and dialogues appropriate to celebrate Washington’s birthday. Vocal and violin solos will be rendered by local talent. Proceeds in aid of our library. Admission: Adults, 25c. Children, 15c. We are glad to note that R. Wesley Foster, son of Mr. John R. Foster of this place, has secured a lucrative position as traveling salesman for Schloss Bros., wholesale cloth dealers, Baltimore, Md.
