School briefs

Reeve Bergesen of Gloucester was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Wake Forest University. The recognition requires a 3.4 or higher grade point average.

Local Christchurch School students Patrick Murphy, Kedron Walsh and Hailey Sundeen joined 10 other CCS students and two chaperones for a recent 11-day trip to Spain. The group traveled to Costa Brava, Barcelona, Madrid and Toledo and visited the Dali Museum, the Sagrada Familia Cathedral, Parque Guell, the Prado Museum and the Royal Palace. They also took a bike tour of Barcelona and attended a soccer match between Real Madrid and Osuna.

Reagan Jackson, a rising freshman at Mathews High School, was the only eighth grader at Thomas Hunter Middle School to score a perfect 600 on the state’s writing SOL test.
