School briefs

Heather Lynne Hunley of Chesapeake received a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Leo University during commencement ceremonies on May 19. Hunley, an employee of Huntington Ingalls, is the daughter of Danny and Mary Hunley of Mathews. Her father, a 20-year alumnus of Saint Leo, delivered the commencement address.

Catharine Carter Damron received a bachelor of arts degree in French from Smith College during commencement ceremonies on May 20. Damron also completed minor studies in music. She has been accepted to the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales in Paris, France. Damron is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Breckinridge Montague of Gloucester and Dr. John E. Damron of Newport News.
