Nick Lawrence has been named to the winter term dean’s list with a 4.0 grade point average at Savannah College of Art and Design where he is majoring in sound design. Lawrence transferred to SCAD in January after completing his freshman year at Virginia Commonwealth University. He works as an audio director for the SCAD District news source. He is the son of Sally Lawrence of Gloucester, and Tim Lawrence of Staunton.

Peasley Middle School seventh grader Trinity Tolan has been accepted to Miller School of Albemarle in Charlottesville for the 2012-2013 academic session. The Miller School is a selective, co-educational boarding school for grades eight through post-graduate and has an enrollment of 150 students. Established in 1878, the school first enrolled girls six years later and is one of the oldest co-educational boarding schools in the nation.
