James Madison University graduated three local students during commencement exercises held last month. Nancy Colwell of Hayes, graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Bryce Wyne of North, graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Jackson Putt of Dutton, graduated with a Master of Education. Austin Decker and Aubrey Micket, both of Gloucester, were named to the spring 2026 dean’s list at Radford University. To achieve this honor, students must complete 12 semester hours of coursework and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.4. Travis Cornbau, Cayden Felder, Natalie Jacob, Kaylee Jones and Joshua Mayer of Gloucester; Amber Kolenc of Hayes; Molly Morgan and Katherine Murphy of Mathews; and Maggie Lancaster of Port Haywood, were named to the College of William & Mary’s dean’s list for the spring 2026 semester.
