School briefs

Christina Michelle Dick received a bachelor of science degree in mass communications from Virginia Commonwealth University during commencement ceremonies May 22. Dick had concentrated studies in strategic advertising and minor studies in marketing. She has accepted a position as an assistant local broadcast buyer at the Martin Agency in Richmond. Dick is the daughter of Daniel Dick of Gloucester, and Dorothy Dick of North.

David M. Phillips of Gloucester Point, graduated with distinction and received a bachelor of arts degree in international studies from Virginia Military Institute during commencement ceremonies May 16. Phillips is the son of Sandra M. Phillips and Robert Phillips.

Lynn Carol Jaeger of Cobbs Creek, and Lanell Wood Jarvis of Foster, received degrees from Mary Baldwin College during commencement ceremonies May 23. Both attended the Adult Degree Program, with Jaeger earning a degree in sociology and Jarvis a degree in psychology.
