Trystan Corey Fortner of Gloucester, received a bachelor of science degree in commerce and business administration from the University of Alabama during commencement ceremonies May 3-5. 

The following local students were named to the spring semester dean’s list at James Madison University: Katherine Mae Brallier of Cobbs Creek, Madeline Grace Brown of Hudgins, and Ethan Cabot Collier, Nikolas Cole Danaher, Denise Lynn Edgerly, Robert Aidan Schiber, Shelby Kay Taylor and Alexandra Isabel Woller, all of Gloucester. The recognition requires a grade point average of between 3.3 and 3.899 for the semester.
