School briefs

Daniel Paul Herman was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. The recognition requires a 3.0 or higher grade point average for the semester.

Kavic Kumar received a bachelor of science degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from the University of Washington during commencement exercises June 15. Kumar has been accepted to the University of Maryland where he will pursue a doctorate in physics. He will also join NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland to conduct research. He is the son of Major Raman and Kathy Hearn Kumar of Dupont, Washington, the grandson of Terry Hearn, and the great-grandson of Mary S. Gwynn, both of Hudgins.
