Kourtney KellyAnne Brooks of Newport News, daughter of Ron and Janice Blake-Brooks, formerly of Mathews, received a bachelor of arts in political science with a minor in American studies during Saturday’s commencement exercises at Christopher Newport University. She was recognized for contributing more than 100 hours of public service during her student years as a member of the CNU Center for Community Engagement and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. 

Victoria L. Wilson of Gloucester was named to the spring semester dean’s list at Bridgewater College with a perfect 4.0 grade point average. Wilson is a senior majoring in health and exercise science at BC. 

Two other Gloucester residents were also named to the BC spring semester dean’s list. They were Sydney D. Cook, a junior majoring in Spanish, and Justin J. Swisher, a senior majoring in psychology. The recognition requires a 3.4 or higher GPA.  ...
