Hayley Goodwin, granddaughter of Jack and Louisa Cranford of Mathews and daughter of Elisa Goodwin, graduated recently from Carlsbad High School, Carlsbad, California. She is a member of the National Honor Society and will enroll in the Baylor University Honors Program as a biology major.

Recent Gloucester High School graduate Chase Holland, who will attend Hampden-Sydney College this fall, has received two scholarships. Holland received a Hampden-Sydney Patrick Henry Scholarship of $21,000, renewable for four years, and the Eagle Scout Scholarship of $5,000, renewable for four years. 

Christopher Morgan received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, during commencement ceremonies May 27. Morgan also received the Presidential Service Award for his service and contributions to the college and the greater Worcester community, and was named to the spring semester Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
