School briefs

Chris Davis received a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Randolph-Macon College during commencement ceremonies held May 28. Davis also completed a minor in economics. He is the son of Jonathan and Tonya Matthews of Mathews. 

Vanessa Gray received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the College of William and Mary during commencement ceremonies May 15. Gray also completed a minor in accounting. During her senior year, Gray received the Black Student Organization Senior Legacy Award and the Women of Alpha Excellence in Leadership for her contributions to campus. Gray was also awarded the Benjamin S. Ewell Award for her leadership, service and overall impact at William and Mary. She additionally received the Hulon Willis Alumni Association Excellence in Student Leadership. The award commemorates Hulon Willis, the first black William and Mary graduate.
