School briefs

Rachel Finney of Gloucester, was recently initiated into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at the College of Charleston. Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective honor society for all academic disciplines.

The following local students were named to the fall semester Dean’s List at Radford University: Callie Elizabeth Dunston, Emily Katherine Eckstein, Whitney A. Martin and Ashley Leigh Ann Riedell of Gloucester; Kelsey Lynn Gibbs and Brianna Trinity Guest of Hayes, and Kai Lee McCann of Mathews. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have taken 12 or more graded credit hours and have a grade point average of 3.4 or above with no grade below a C. In addition, Gibbs graduated from Radford at the end of the fall semester, earning a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies. ...
