Terri M. Davis, Ph.D. was appointed chair of the B.A. Psychology Program at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, Calif. She is a 1986 graduate of Mathews High School and a 1990 graduate of Virginia Union University. In 1995, she earned her doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Ohio State. Dr. Davis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Davis Jr. of Cobbs Creek.

Bea P. Evans, administrative specialist to Rappahannock Community College president Elizabeth Crowther, has announced her intention of retiring at the end of December. Evans, who resides in Kilmarnock, has served the college for 23 years. Instead of being given a celebration honoring her retirement, Evans has requested that staff members recognize her by making an extra contribution to the RCC Support Staff Association’s Thanksgiving food drive.
