Lani Ashberry of Cobbs Creek has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at the College of William and Mary where she is a senior English major pursuing her secondary education certification. The recognition requires a 3.6 or higher grade point average.

Rachel Carrington Finney has been named to the fall semester dean’s list at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C. The recognition requires a 3.6 or higher grade point average. Finney is the daughter of Scott and Denise Finney of Gloucester. 

Mary Pritchett Mawyer, daughter of Morgan and Doris Pritchett of Cobbs Creek, was awarded the 2013 Dawbarn Education Award, presented by the Community Foundation of the Central Blue Ridge.
