David Sutton graduated Sept. 13 from the FBI National Academy at Quantico. He is a 1985 graduate of Mathews High School and a former Mathews County deputy sheriff. He is retired from the Newport News Police Department and currently employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigations. He also is serving in the Army Reserve as lieutenant colonel, and has served two tours of duty in Iraq. He resides in King George with his wife Chandra and son Joseph.
