The Mathews County School Board’s closed meeting, originally scheduled for this past Friday, was postponed due to weather conditions and rescheduled for this Friday, Dec. 12, from 9 a.m. to noon in the school board office conference room, 63 Church Street, Mathews.
The closed meeting is being held in reference to Virginia Freedom of Information Act Section 2.2-3711(A)(19): Discussion by staff members concerning actions taken to respond to matters related to public safety.
The only action called for in the agenda is the adoption of the certification of closed meeting.
The school board’s next meeting will be held on Tuesday in the Brooks Auditorium at Thomas Hunter Middle School, beginning with a work session on the 2025-2026 budget at 4 p.m. The regular monthly meeting will follow at 6....
