School board begins superintendent search process

The members of the Mathews County School Board will begin the process to search for a new superintendent to replace Dr. David J. Holleran, who will be retiring from that post at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.

The first of those meetings will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, with board members expected to develop a timeline, survey questions for superintendent criteria and an application. A second meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, to develop interview questions.
