School board approves personnel changes

The Gloucester County School Board made four personnel appointments during its Jan. 10 meeting. Teresa Bracken of Gloucester, was appointed as a mathematics teacher at Peasley Middle School, effective Jan. 11.

James Stewart of Newport News, was appointed as a security officer at Gloucester High School and Ester Brown of Gloucester Point, and Diane Mayer of Gloucester, were also appointed to support positions.
Resignations were accepted from Abingdon Elementary fifth grade teacher Katherine Butorac, effective Jan. 6, and Petsworth Elementary fourth grade teacher Kaitlyn Landis, effective Jan. 27. A resignation was also accepted from Peasley Middle School special education teacher Sara Campbell, effective at the end of the school year.
