School board approves personnel actions

Lindsay Smith of Gloucester was appointed to a support position by the Gloucester County School Board in personnel actions taken during the board’s Feb. 10 meeting. 

Resignations were accepted from Achilles Elementary teacher Rachel Carr and Gloucester High School teachers Kerra Lundgren and Corinne Lanning, all effective at the end of the current school year. 

Retirement was approved for GHS teacher Martha Moore, Peasley Middle School teachers Mary K. Diggs and Elizabeth Hurst and Botetourt Elementary support personnel Dolores Goode and Sandra Mitchem, all effective July 1. 

In GHS coaching appointments, Benjamin Freudenberg was appointed as the head crew coach, Mark Wall as the tennis coach, Caitlin Richmond as the girls’ junior varsity soccer coach, and Michael Carroll and Sandra Beverage as assistant spring track coaches.
