Morgan Buchanan of Cobbs Creek received the $2,500 Jeannette McDonald Scholarship from the Virginia State Chapter of P.E.O. International. This scholarship is awarded to the woman with the highest GPA of those selected by the scholarship committee. Buchanan is a nursing student at Rappahannock Community College and was presented this award by P.E.O. Chapter BW, Gloucester. She is a designated scholar for that chapter. P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization that supports women’s education.
